Mindfulness Community Resources

Mindful All-Day, Tuesday, Saturday and Thursday PM sittings with Diana Shimkus and the
Encinitas Mindfulness Community

Each Tuesday morning, Saturday morning and Thursday evening  a sitting meditation practice is held with Diana and the Encinitas Mindfulness Community.  On Saturdays, the guided practice begins at 7:30am and is followed by discussion until 9:00am.   Tuesday mornings is a silent sitting beginning at 7:00am and Thursday evenings meditation begins at 6:30pm.  All meditations, except Thursday evenings are held in Encinitas at 1045 Dewitt Ave. If you are interested in attending on Thursday evenings, visit our meditation circle at 816 Passiflora Ave Leucadia, CA   All are welcome.

Once per quarter All-Day Mindfulness Meditation retreats are held at Questhaven Retreat Center. Please submit your email address to receive our monthly newsletter with updated meditation schedules, info on mindful hikes, meetings for The Compassionate Living and Dying group, drumming circle and more.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Solana Beach meets for mindful meditation, Buddhist meditation
and Buddhist study groups.

  Deer Park Monastery

Vietnamese Monk, Nobel Peace prize nominee and author. Thich Nhat Hahn’s monastery is located in the hills of Escondido.
All-day mindfulness practice each Sunday from 9:00am-4:00am.
